Free as a bird, I am rid of the earth. I can fly!
And like the dreams I had dreamt as a child, I can master the sky.
And where the sea breeze rolls in from the sea to the cliffs, I can soar.
While I swoop sure and free, far below me the waves roar.
I can master the sky. I can fly!
I can sail the air ocean’s swell.
Round the thrones of the clouds I’ll dwell.
I can master the sky.
Suddenly burst are the chains that have held me to earth.
As I leap for my life from the hill I experience birth.
The ground falls away like the stones of some vast prison’s wall.
My fate is my faith in the wind. All around the gulls call.
I can master the sky.
On these wings, I can fly.
I can sail the air ocean’s swell.
Round the thrones of the clouds I’ll dwell.
I can master the sky.
Blue sheen upon the water. Tight sails on the sea.
White clouds on the horizon. Green hills roll under me.
White gulls call, swiftly flying. Thunder rises from the shore.
The rim of ocean sweeps before me.
Off my wing an eagle soars.
Down on the ground the earth-bound stare, their eyes fill with awe.
Held as they are in the grip of their natural law
While I’m turning and wheeling, winging about in the sky.
I haven’t a care in the uplifting air as I fly. I can fly!
I can master the sky. I can fly!
I can sail the air ocean’s swell.
Round the thrones of the clouds I’ll dwell.
I can master the sky.
I ONLY WANT TO TAKE YOU UP THERE WE WE CAN FLY.
I NEVER WILL FORSAKE YOU. I’LL BRING YOU DOWN ALL RIGHT.
WE’LL SOAR THE COASTAL MOUNTAINS, WINDS RISING FROM THE SHORE.
ONE WITH THE WIND AND WEATHER. HIGHER THAN THE EAGLES SOAR.
I can master the sky. On these wings of Dacron, I can fly.
I can sail the air ocean’s swell.
Round the thrones of the clouds I’ll dwell.
I can master the sky.
And free as a bird, I am rid of the earth.
I can fly!
